Victor Wooten was just two years old when he played his first gigs with the Wooten Brothers Band (featuring Regi on guitar, Roy “Futureman” on drums, Rudy on sax and Joseph on keyboards). They opened shows for Curtis Mayfield, War and others. Eventually settling in Nashville, Wooten connected with like-minded banjoist and composer Béla Fleck and joined forces as the Flecktones. Wooten has earned five Grammy awards, has been honored three times by Bass Player Magazine as “Player of the Year” and is included in Rolling Stone’s “Top 10 Bassists of All Time”. Wooten’s latest album, TRYPNOTYX (his first in five years) was produced by the bassist and features drum powerhouse Dennis Chambers and veteran saxophonist Bob Franceschini, who will be joining him on this concert date.
