Singer-songwriter and arranger Mila Trani lives and works between Barcelona and Milan, weaving together musical and artistic worlds with an eclectic and contemporary approach.
Her cross-genre journey spans a variety of musical styles, from jazz to traditional music from around the world. She has studied Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Cuban percussion, Turkish and Kurdish singing, as well as Ottoman, Greek, and Indian vocal traditions.
She collaborates with numerous ensembles, from duos to big bands, explores new vocal technologies, and performs in various artistic projects, creating soundscapes for theater productions and video installations.
Specializing in vocal music, she leads choral and a cappella projects that have won several international awards and have been featured at festivals worldwide.
Her latest solo project, Menta Selvatica (“Wild Mint”), is a concept album that explores the evolving feminine through myths, characters, and rituals, blending Mediterranean sounds, jazz, Caribbean rhythms, and flamenco and fado atmospheres, with echoes of Italian folklore.
